Batería para un conjunto de chamame? Si sos músico y te gusta el chamame, porqué no aprendes acordaón, o guitarra, te va a ir mejor. Además, sabes que la batería poco encaja en el chamame.

Ellos lo tocaron el la fiesta del chamame 2010 en Corrientes.. el primer tema que tocaron fue este.. y no puedo encontrar como se llama dicho tema.. Espero q lo sepan.. y me lo informen por favor.. I promised to tell you a little about POLONAISE – another Polish dance. However, I have to take into account that this is a Foro on chamame, and not on the Polish folk music. Let me postpone this subject a little.

 Having this in mind, perhaps much more interesting for you will be my impressions on chamame:

 Listening chamame for the first time, I was lost. Mainly because of its rhythm. I had the impression that chamame accordion players are using left hand buttons at random – just from time to time, when they just remembered to use it. Without any recognizable pattern.

  Then, I noticed that this resulted from using 6/8 rhythm. It allows to accentuate each second “eight” (three accents) or each third “eight” (two accents). This different accentuating makes that I hear in chamame triple or double accent, switching from one to the other. It sounds like lovely syncopating. And this is what I love in chamame.

 However, when playing it is different thing than listening. I must be careful - I have to think about this swiching. I know that true chamameros simply feel this – they seem to feel this two-level rhythm simultaneously, without thinking about it. May be, I will achieve this somewhere in the future – perhaps in my next life. :-).
